This position is a teaching position beginning August, 2024.
Responsibilities: The Middle School Art Teacher will report to the Head of Middle School and will be responsible for teaching art classes to students in grades 6-8. In addition to the normal teaching responsibilities, this person will advise a group of 10 students, and perform periodic duty assignments (lunch, traffic, advisor, etc.).
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in art or art education is required and three or more years teaching experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture/3D design skills and techniques, and an understanding of art history. The applicant should have a strong academic background and possess proficient technology skills. The candidate should have superb organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
