Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Utilize learning technology to enhance classroom lessons
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and assess student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and support staff
- Incorporate library services and resources into lesson planning
- Support early intervention initiatives for students with special educational needs
- Work with children on the autism spectrum to provide tailored support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- State teaching certification or license
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Knowledge of childcare principles and practices
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies
- Ability to write and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using learning technology in the classroom
