Job Description
An opportunity is available for a General Education Teacher specializing in 4th Grade literacy to support an inclusive classroom environment in Washington, DC. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to work closely with an existing special education inclusion teacher, providing comprehensive instruction to a class of 25-30 students. Lesson plans are provided, facilitating smooth collaboration and effective delivery of whole-class instruction alongside another teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging literacy instruction to 4th grade students.
• Collaborate with a special education inclusion teacher to support diverse learning needs.
• Utilize provided lesson plans to facilitate classroom teaching.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain classroom management to support student growth and achievement.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience teaching 4th grade in a general education setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with special education staff and students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, student-centered classroom.
Location: Washington, DC
Work Schedule and Duration:
• Full-time, contract position.
• School hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Immediate start with contract through June 18th.
