Our ideal candidate has a passion for learning new things and would enjoy hanging out with high school kids and attending high school again. NO SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We will teach you everything you need to know.
About us: We are a playful, loving family of four boys ranging in age from preschool to college. We all have a lot of energy and silliness and joy.
Job basics:

-2.5 weeks paid time off per year, plus standard holidays paid.
-Flexible summer start date, ideally early June 2026, with a commitment through May 2027.
More info:
Our son attends a sweet Christian classical school Monday through Thursday and has homework and therapy on Friday.
Tasks at school include translating his communication (he writes/uses his own made up sign language to communicate), positioning in his wheelchair, helping him with physical needs, helping him eat, and helping him keep up with his friends. Tasks at home include helping him eat, exercise, complete homework, attend therapy sessions, and most of all, enjoy being a kid.
Minimum requirements:
-Able to lift and carry up to 60lbs frequently throughout the day (he is tiny for his age but needs a lot of help)
-Have a car that can handle a car seat, and a willingness to drive our son to school and therapies. (We reimburse for mileage.)
-Must be 18 years old and be valid to work in the U.S. (We use a payroll company.)
-Able to commit through the entire school year.
-A love of learning new things and a love of high school kids.
This job is ideal for someone who:
-Would enjoy hanging out with a bunch of silly and very kind high schoolers, and would enjoy attending high school again, especially at a school with challenging classes such as economics, modern literature, and philosophy.
-Would like to learn more about special needs, therapy (physical, occupational, speech, or counseling), education, and/or medical fields first-hand.
-Would like to make an enormous difference to a child and his family who loves him so much.
