About the Role:
Kids First Preschool and Child Care Center #2 in Tucson, AZ is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced School Age Teacher to join our team part-time in the afternoons! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and engage school-age children in safe, structured afternoon programming
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework help, arts and crafts, and recreational play
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social and emotional development
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to maintain a consistent and nurturing childcare experience
• Maintain accurate attendance records and adhere to licensing and compliance standards
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate programming
• Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills
• Current or ability to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, patient, and passionate about working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
