Job Description

Louisville educators on either side of the Ohio River, in Jeffersontown and St. Matthews or over in New Albany and Jeffersonville, can apply for this role. Professional development trainers teach classroom management to K-12 staffs. You'd lead each training day yourself, at the school or virtually.

Most trainers keep teaching or leading a school and train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer. No territories means you can train in person near Louisville or virtually for schools anywhere.

You'd get ready in our virtual Weekend Certification, 36 hours on three days across two weekends, with Content Mastery before High-Impact Facilitation. If graduate credit matters to you, the certification is eligible for 4 credits through UMass Global. You pay tuition to get certified, and sponsorship and pay-over-time options are there if you need them.

Trainers are independent contractors who receive a 1099, and their hours aren't guaranteed. Outreach is part of the job: most trainings come from schools you contact, using the approach from certification. A National Director drafts each contract and negotiates it with the school. Fridays are paydays. A typical training day brings in $1,000 or more.

Certified trainers receive orientation, training materials, and continuing support. Our training has reached more than 400,000 educators since 1993, with teachers in every state among them.

We welcome applications from current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, and other educators. Students can apply if completing certification is part of their plan. A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.
