Qualifications
Springhill Montessori School is seeking qualified Assistant Teacher (Toddler/Primary). Candidate must have Montessori Assistant Training certificate or work in a Montessori environment. The candidate should be dedicated to the Montessori approach, love teaching, and believe in children. Candidate should be creative, enthusiastic, and have great communication skills with both adults and children, as well as strong classroom management skills. We are looking for someone to join our team of teachers, in a warm, supportive work environment that you would be proud to call your own. We would prefer 3-5 years experience.
Job Description
• Help maintain a classroom that is clean, sanitary, uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing.
• Ensure that all classroom equipment is well-maintained and regularly inspected for safety hazards. Assist in the classroom set‑up and clean‑up, and the making of materials under the guidance of the classroom guide.
• Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and planning sessions as outlined in the Staff Handbook. Attend all in‑service days, staff meetings, and training sessions appropriate to the classroom.
• Attend all appropriate parent meetings, orientations and school functions.
• Assist in inventory of needed equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a consistent attitude of loyalty and enthusiasm for the school and its policies.
