Preschool Teachers, Fauntleroy Children's Center
Fauntleroy Children's Center is growing its teaching team.
We an established program where most of our teachers have been here more than 10 years. We are looking for experienced teachers who are interested in joining an education family as well as teachers new to the field who are looking for a place where they can learn and grow into new roles with fantastic mentors around them!
Currently we are looking for a Lead and an Assistant Teacher in each of our two school aged classrooms. Hours are TBD Monday through Friday. We are a diverse group of teachers who look forward to working with people who are motivated to grow and learn together.
Professional Recognition
Our non-profit program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and part of WA State Early Achievers. We use Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD® for lesson planning and assessment of the children.

Learning through Play
We take play seriously. Our philosophy is to create customized strategies to spark and develop each child’s imagination. We follow the curiosity and interests of the children to develop an appropriate play-based curriculum for extended learning and enrichment to succeed in school and beyond.
Location
We are located in a beautiful West Seattle neighborhood with bright, spacious classroom environments, huge nature based outdoor playground areas and nearby access to the Fauntleroy Ferry, beach and Lincoln Park.

Preferred qualifications: AA or BA in ECE, minimum CDA or working on state ECE certificate; proficiency in English communication and basic computer skills; commitment to on-going professional development.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
