About the position
The Learning Experience of The Learning Experience #144 is hiring a Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to support children’s growth and development and provide high-quality daycare and preschool. The teacher leads classroom management and creates a safe, nurturing, engaging environment where children can play and learn. They implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in a manner suited to each child’s needs, mentor co-teachers, communicate with families, and collaborate with center staff and leadership to support enrollment and engagement goals.
Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Manage the classroom and lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, use a growth mindset, and inspire children’s love of learning.
• Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in ways that meet each child’s unique needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s activities and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create an environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
Nice-to-haves
• At least 1 year of professional teaching experience.
• CDA, associate degree, or higher in early childhood education (ECE) or a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
