About us
Annunciation Day School is a private school in central Atlanta. Based in North Druid Hills, near Emory University, we serve children from preschool through to 8th grade. We pride ourselves on small class sizes (average of 16 per class), and the opportunity to grow and develop in your career.

We are looking for a talented and passionate teaching assistant who thinks outside of the box and want to support the development of our young students.

We are a close knit community of 170 students from over 29 countries, we pride ourselves on our diversity and being a cultural melting pot. We can support new teacher assistants in their early career or develop more experienced educators in their practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a teaching assistant in Kindergarten , fostering a welcoming and structured classroom environment.
• Support engaging and research-driven lessons
• Support student learning through small group or one-on-one assistance.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
• Reinforce positive behavior and assist with classroom management.
• Provide emotional and social support to students.
• Assist with record-keeping, and administrative tasks.
• Supervise students during breaks, transitions, and school activities.
• Support students with special educational needs as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers and attend training sessions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• High school diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Experience working in a classroom or with children (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support students and collaborate with teachers.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
• Ability to manage behavior positively and support classroom routines.
• Organizational skills to assist with lesson preparation and administrative tasks.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different students and teachers.
