Ready to inspire the next generation of exceptional learners? Bring your expertise as a Gifted Special Education Teacher to a welcoming middle/high school campus located near Albuquerque, NM. This contract position starts immediately and runs through June 4, providing an outstanding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of gifted and talented students.
Your responsibilities will center on delivering individualized instruction and support to students identified as gifted. Youll collaborate with a passionate team to implement education plans, manage IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Expect to utilize the schools IEP system while enjoying the dynamic challenge of day-to-day gifted educationguiding students to challenge themselves academically and achieve beyond expectations.
What Were Looking For:
• Active teaching license with Gifted certification
• Previous experience working with gifted/talented students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Ability to adapt instruction for middle- and high-school age groups
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Willingness to meet required credentialing (background check, fingerprints, etc.)
What Youll Do:
• Design and implement engaging curriculum for gifted students
• Write, manage, and participate in IEP meetings and compliance
• Collaborate with staff and families to support individual student growth
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Travel between classrooms on an itinerant basis (mileage reimbursement available)
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and participate in board meetings as needed
