Compensation: $7,000 for the assignment

About the Opportunity
ConnectUS is working with a highly regarded independent school in New York City to identify an experienced French teacher for a short-term leave replacement assignment in the Upper School.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced secondary French educator to join a collaborative school community and provide continuity for students during a temporary faculty leave.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
• Teach French to students in Grades 9–12.
• Continue and implement the existing French curriculum.
• Support students in developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Foster students’ understanding and appreciation of French and Francophone cultures.
• Serve as an advisor to a group of Grade 12 students.
• Collaborate with the World Language Department.
• Attend relevant department meetings.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
• Participate in assigned school duties and supervisory responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate

• Has experience teaching French at the secondary level.

• Can confidently step into an established curriculum.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or significant relevant experience required.
• Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching French at the high school level is strongly preferred.
• Must currently have authorization to work in the United States.
Compensation & Dates
Compensation: $7,000 total
Assignment: October 26 – November 20, 2026
This is a temporary leave replacement position.
