Position Summary
The Student Information System (SIS) Administrator serves as the department's operational lead for the daily management, configuration, and continuous improvement of the SIS. This role functions as the primary technical and functional steward of SIS operations and is designed to develop into future leadership capacity.
The SIS Administrator works closely with the Director of SISOpSS to develop processes to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and alignment with District, state, and federal reporting requirements. This role emphasizes hands-on system administration, integration support, and process optimization, while building institutional continuity and sustainability for SIS operations.
Essential Duties
Great Teaching & Learning (Instructional Infrastructure)
• Administer and support the daily operation, configuration, and maintenance of the District's SIS
• Assist in annual SIS setup processes, including calendars, scheduling structures, grading configurations, and system readiness
• Support integration and data exchange between SIS and connected systems
• Monitor system usage and data quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system improvements
Great People (Talent Management)
• Collaborate with other departmental members in the development, maintenance, and delivery of training materials for District staff
• Serve as a primary point of contact for SIS-related questions
• Partner with campuses to reinforce accurate data entry
• Translate technical system changes into clear guidance

• Identify and implement process improvements
• Promote a culture of data integrity
• Collaborate cross-functionally across departments
• Assist in planning and scheduling system updates
• Contribute to long-term sustainability through documentation of system processes and integrations
Great Systems (Support & Accountability)
• Maintain SIS user accounts and security
• Work closely with Programmers/Analysts to support the implementation of integrations and data processes
• Assist with state reporting cycles
• Perform system testing
• Troubleshoot system issues
• Work closely with Programmers/Analysts to create, implement, and maintain reports and custom development requests

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• Must be able to communicate, develop and present ideas effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, Google For Education Suite, Internet Use, Intranet, and basic computer knowledge.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming in enterprise systems.
• Skills in planning, scheduling, training and problem solving.
• Demonstrated knowledge of school business processes and student information management functions.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and decision-support technologies.
• Experience with SQL, data management, and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with K–12 SIS (e.g., Infinite Campus)
• Knowledge of student data reporting requirements
• Familiarity with education systems
• Project management experience
