Position Overview
BASIS Independent Bellevue School is searching for qualified candidates for a Temporary Middle School History Instructor role! This temporary position is expected to last until January 22, 2027.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can create engaging World History lessons that connect various topics, such as culture, economics, social structures, and significant historical events.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver lessons for World History I and II, catering to grades 6 and 7.
• Provide high-level subject instruction in an interactive environment, ensuring exceptional academic outcomes for all students.
• Design creative lessons and assessments aligned with BASIS Curriculum, maintaining internationally competitive educational standards.
• Collaborate with other educators to foster a vibrant community of passionate professionals committed to academic excellence.
• Offer tutoring to enhance students' subject-specific knowledge and skills, promoting their academic and career success.
• Manage classroom behavior to encourage achievement, personal responsibility, and individuality among students.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in the subject area.
• Commitment to engaging students and differentiating instruction.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students and create a supportive classroom environment.
• Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Openness to feedback and a desire for continuous professional growth.
• Creative and effective classroom management and instructional strategies.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate-level coursework in the subject area (master's or Ph.D. preferred).
• A history of strong academic performance, particularly in the major field of study, along with positive references.
• Experience working with children is an asset.
