Job Description
An Hourly Title I Teacher provides supplemental academic instruction and intervention services to students identified as needing additional support to meet grade-level standards. Working under the direction of the school principal and Title I program director, the teacher delivers targeted instruction aligned with the school's Title I plan and district goals to improve student achievement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Provide small-group and individual instruction in reading, mathematics, and other academic areas as identified through student data.
• Implement evidence-based intervention strategies to support student learning and close achievement gaps.
• Monitor and document student progress using assessments and data collection tools.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and school staff to align instructional support with classroom learning.
• Assist in developing and implementing academic support plans for eligible students.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, attendance, and student progress.
• Communicate with families regarding student growth and available academic support services when appropriate.
• Participate in professional development and Title I program meetings as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal Title I requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Minimum expectations for this job are as follows:
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with strong collaborative abilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum requirements for this job are as follows:
• Valid teaching license appropriate for the grade level and subject area.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies, intervention programs, and assessment practices.
• Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly.
REQUIRED APS PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
• Satisfactory completion of criminal background verification.
