## About the Role
We're looking for a Site Assistant to join our Team Milwaukee Special Olympics program. In this role, you'll work directly with the Site Director to support evening operations at assigned program locations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and smooth running of practices, working alongside building monitors, building staff, and volunteers.
## What You'll Do
As a Site Assistant, you'll be responsible for a range of duties that keep our program running smoothly. You'll enforce all Milwaukee Public Schools, Milwaukee Recreation, and non
- MPS program location rules. You'll work directly with the Recreation Supervisor to manage the Team Milwaukee Special Olympics programs, and with the Site Director to supervise and monitor practice facilities and surrounding areas, making sure participants are visible and safe.
You'll also distribute program information to coaches, volunteers, athletes, and parents/guardians, and immediately document and report any suspicious activities or incidents/accidents to the Recreation Supervisor. Other duties as assigned will also be part of your role.
## Supervision
This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor of Team Milwaukee.
## Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet these minimum qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold or be willing to obtain 1st Aid/CPR/AED Certifications (training will be provided if needed).
- Be able to meet the scheduling needs for this position, which is part-time and evening-based.
- Have access to reliable transportation to get to program locations.
## Preferred Experience
While not required, we value candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with people with special needs.
- Basic knowledge of the Special Olympics program.
## Skills and Abilities
We're looking for someone who brings excellent oral and written communication skills to the team. You should be able to deliver exemplary customer service to the public and district staff, and have the ability to assist with management, site supervision, and coaching of the Team Milwaukee Special Olympic practices.
