Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging language lessons tailored to meet the needs of students for whom English is a second language. Key tasks include planning lessons, assessing student progress, preparing students for language exams (e.g., IELTS), and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will collaborate with colleagues to support student success and align with PLA’s educational mission.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language
• Strong skills in Lesson Planning and customization to meet diverse language learning needs
• Experience or training in preparing students for language proficiency exams such as IELTS
• Proven ability to create engaging and interactive teaching experiences
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field (required)
• Teaching certification or relevant ESL/TEFL qualification (preferred)
• Experience working with multilingual or multicultural student populations is a plus
