TriSource is proud to partner with a leading Baltimore-based nonprofit to find dedicated Temporary Early Head Start Teachers for two immediate openings. In this role, you will support a classroom of toddlers and children (ages 3-5) while permanent staff members are on leave.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Note: This is a temp assignment lasting approximately 1-2 months)
Locations: Baltimore, MD 21215
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary (Immediate need, ongoing for 1-2 months)
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• Note: Candidates with degrees in related fields (Education, Child & Family Services) will be considered but must provide college transcripts to verify ECE credit thresholds.
Certifications:
• 90-Hour Childcare Certification (REQUIRED)
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Strongly Preferred)
• 45-hour childcare certification is a plus.
Experience & Clearances:
• Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare/teaching experience in a daycare, classroom, or early childhood setting with children ages 3-5 years old (Required).
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and clearance process.
Key Responsibilities
• Educational Environment: Provide a safe, age-appropriate, and developmentally enriching classroom environment that meets rigorous Early Head Start standards.
• Targeted Engagement: Verbally engage with toddlers and children ages 3-5 throughout the day, fostering a nurturing, responsive, and secure atmosphere.
• Social-Emotional Growth: Help children develop a sense of independence, self-appreciation, and the ability to express and understand their feelings.
• Curriculum Implementation: Plan and execute lesson plans and daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for the infant and toddler age group.
• Group Dynamics: Encourage mutual respect among children and manage all classroom logistics, including the movement of furniture and daily supplies for approximately 20 children.
