High Tech High Mesa is looking for a girls varsity head coach for the winter 2026-2027 season. Coaching stipend is $1000 paid at the end of the season. Practice schedules are flexible.
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated High School Varsity Soccer Coach to lead and inspire our student-athletes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop young athletes’ skills, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, guiding game strategies, and creating a positive environment that encourages growth both on and off the field. Responsibilities
• Design and implement engaging training sessions that improve players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
• Develop game strategies and make real-time decisions during matches to maximize team performance
• Foster a positive team culture centered on respect, discipline, and sportsmanship
• Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development
• Coordinate with school staff, parents, and athletic directors to ensure smooth team operations
• Promote safety by adhering to all health guidelines, including first aid and CPR protocols when necessary
• Lead team meetings, motivate players, and manage behavior to maintain a focused and respectful environment
Requirements
• Demonstrated leadership skills in team settings with the ability to motivate diverse groups of students
• Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction and effective coaching techniques
• Experience working with children or teenagers in educational or extracurricular settings
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and child safety are highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and school staff effectively
Pay: Up to $1,000.00 per year
