Job Description

Enrollment Specialist

Characteristics

Who You Are:

• You have a closer's instinct and a genuine reason to care whether a student makes it through their educational journey.

• You possess real comfort communicating both on the phone and in person, carrying a follow-up call and a face-to-face tour with equal ease.

• You are highly organized and can maintain structure even when managing a full pipeline, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

• You bring a strong hustle and follow-through, knowing how to successfully move a person from "maybe" to "I'm in".

Who We Are:

Our mission is to empower others to achieve their full potential. That includes our students, our partners, and you. We are a network of dropout prevention and recovery charter schools in Ohio committed to helping our students build a life of meaning and impact. Regardless of a student’s background or past, we strive to give them the tools, resources, and vision needed to become the best version of themselves. We believe that when young people gain real-world skills, confidence, and purpose, they can create the futures they desire.

Our schools blend academics, career readiness, and wraparound services that meet the needs of the whole student. We are in constant pursuit of not only serving students in the best way possible but also becoming a pillar in the communities we serve.

Everything we do in our organization is guided by our mission. Our culture is a natural outgrowth of our amazing people, whose lives and work are defined by our governing values of growth, excellence, integrity, service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own the student's journey from first contact to the first day of class, ensuring they stay enrolled.

• Run the pipeline by logging every prospective student as a contact in HubSpot, moving them through stages, and never letting a lead go cold.

• Work inbound leads urgently, prioritizing fast responses to those who are already raising their hand.

• Lead campus tours as sales conversations, showing students what their life could look like and answering difficult questions.

• Nurture and follow up with leads via phone, text, email, and in person to keep every prospective student, family, and past applicant warm.

• Get people over the line by following up on unfinished applications and helping remove barriers to enrollment, such as transportation or scheduling conflicts.

• Keep the record clean by logging every touch accurately and on time so the entire team can see where each student stands.

• Show up when we go out by representing Career Prep at occasional outreach events, fairs, and community presentations.

Qualifications

Required

• A background in sales, recruiting, admissions advising, or another role where you owned a pipeline and were measured on outcomes.

• Proven skills in sales and recruiting, with the ability to move someone from interest to commitment and bring in the right fit.

• Strong customer service and lifecycle management skills, owning the relationship from start to finish rather than just closing and walking away.

• Comfort navigating software independently, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

Useful / Preferred

• A background in education.

• Skill with phone outreach and email campaigns, such as running a call list or building a results-driven email sequence.

• Experience managing a product, program, or process end to end.

• Proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce, Klaviyo, or another pipeline platform.
