Role Description This full-time, on-site High School STEM role is located in Chicago, IL at Chicago Collegiate Charter School. The educator will design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned STEM instruction in subjects such as math, science, and related disciplines, using data-driven practices to support diverse learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, facilitating hands-on labs and projects, assessing student learning, and providing targeted interventions and enrichment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to align curriculum, contributing to school-wide initiatives, communicating regularly with families, and participating in professional development. The educator will also maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and college readiness for all scholars.

Qualifications
• Strong STEM instructional skills, including content knowledge in high school math and/or science, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Assessment and data-use skills to analyze student performance, differentiate instruction, and monitor progress toward college-ready standards.
• Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families in support of student success.
• Cultural responsiveness and relationship-building skills to create an inclusive, supportive environment for scholars from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to college readiness and a belief in high expectations for all students, including an orientation toward continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM field, or related discipline; appropriate teaching certification or licensure for Illinois strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching in urban or charter school settings is beneficial; prior work with grades 9–12 and college-preparatory curricula is a plus.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning, reflect on practice, and contribute positively to the school community.
