Responsibilities
• Supervise children during before- and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision and behavior management.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, and educational projects aligned with developmental goals.
• Maintain a secure environment by enforcing classroom management techniques and implementing first aid protocols when necessary.
• Support children with homework help, tutoring sessions, or skill-building activities to promote academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop age-appropriate curricula that incorporate early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress or behavioral concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with outdoor work activities, ensuring safety during playtime in outdoor settings or field trips.
Experience
• Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management, and child supervision is essential.
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid protocols is required or obtainable upon hire.
• Experience with special education needs or working with children with diverse abilities is a plus.
• Background in youth development programs or teaching young children through tutoring or recreational activities enhances your candidacy.
• Previous outdoor work experience or sports coaching background can be beneficial for facilitating active play sessions.
• Strong communication skills combined with team leadership capabilities are vital for collaborating effectively within our dynamic team environment.
