Full-Time Traveling Teacher (7th & 4th grades)

Employer Thrive Education Partners
Location Miami, Florida
Type Full-time

Job Description

What if you could build a school around one child instead of asking the child to fit the school?

Thrive Education Partners is searching for an extraordinary educator to join one remarkable family as a full-time Private Educator. This isn't a tutoring job. It isn't homeschooling in the traditional sense.

This is an opportunity to design an educational experience from the ground up alongside a family who believes learning should be deeply personal, intellectually challenging, relationship-centered, and filled with authentic experiences.

You'll become the lead educator for a bright, curious rising seventh-grade student while also supporting her younger sister's learning after school and during family travel. Working alongside Thrive's Educational Management team, you'll have the rare opportunity to focus on what most teachers entered the profession to do: build meaningful relationships and help a young person flourish.

The Family
• This family has intentionally stepped away from traditional schooling—not because their daughter is struggling academically, but because they believe education should cultivate curiosity, confidence, character, wellness, and purpose.
• Their values are reflected in every part of daily life.
• They prioritize healthy living, meaningful travel, strong relationships, entrepreneurship, service, and thoughtful conversations about faith, character, and personal growth.
• They're looking for an educator who naturally lives those values and wants to become a trusted member of their family team.

What You'll Do

No two weeks will look alike. One day you might be teaching algebra around the kitchen table.

The next, you're leading a project inside a museum. Another week you're integrating local history into lessons while traveling internationally.

You'll:

• Teach core middle school academics through personalized instruction

• Design project-based and real-world learning experiences

• Build executive functioning, independence, and confidence

• Support extracurriculars, enrichment, and social development

• Help navigate friendships and positive peer relationships

• Support the family's younger daughter with homework, enrichment, and educational experiences

• Travel extensively with the family throughout the year

• Partner closely with Thrive's Educational Management team for curriculum planning, coaching, assessments, and instructional support

We're Looking For Someone Who...
• You believe relationships come before curriculum.
• You love mentoring as much as teaching.
• You're energized by creating learning EXPERIENCES.
• You're adaptable, collaborative, emotionally intelligent, and excited by the idea that education can happen anywhere.

Most importantly, you're looking for more than your next teaching position.

You're looking for the opportunity to make an extraordinary difference in the life of two children.

Compensation

• Full-time W-2 position
• Health benefits
• Extensive travel opportunities
• Ongoing coaching and support from Thrive's Educational Management team
