Educational Consultant for ELA (Grades 9-12)

As an Educational Consultant for ELA (Grades 9-12), you will represent Savvas Learning Company on-site, playing a vital role in implementing transformative changes in educational districts and schools through comprehensive content delivery, professional development, and job-embedded services. Your primary focus will be on coaching school administrators and providing strategic guidance to enhance the leadership capacity within educational institutions.

This position requires a strong background in education, especially in standards-based reforms and district leadership, alongside the ability to deliver impactful professional development and technical support using Savvas' innovative resources and methodologies for school turnaround.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Administrator Coaching: Provide focused coaching for school and district leaders to help them set actionable goals and develop effective success strategies.
• Administrator Support: Use Savvas tools to assess implementation needs, observe instructional strategies, and provide constructive feedback to enhance classroom practices.
• Classroom Implementation: Ensure effective use of Savvas curriculum components, differentiate instruction based on student needs, manage technology integration, and utilize data for informed decision-making.
• Job-Embedded Coaching: Work closely with teachers and instructional leaders to apply Savvas methodologies, tailoring coaching approaches to meet varying needs.
• Observation and Feedback: Monitor classroom implementation of the Savvas program and provide critical feedback to promote instructional progress.
• Data-Based Decision Making: Facilitate the effective use of performance and assignment dashboards while helping leaders analyze data to inform resource allocation and intervention strategies.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of successful teaching experience in a 9-12 ELA classroom, along with coaching or administrative experience.
• Proven record of successful training and workshops for educators at various levels.
• Experience with classroom technology integration and differentiated instruction.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and excellent presentation abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

Additional Skills:
• Local candidates from Clark County, NV, or those from the West Region who can travel to Clark County up to 12 days each month are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in district-level leadership, scaffolding instruction for diverse learners, and community outreach is highly desired.

Travel Requirements:
• Ability to travel up to 70%, including air and automobile travel for 12-15 days/month.
• Must have reliable transportation to perform job duties.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $73,720.00 - $87,000.00. Savvas Learning Company offers a competitive rewards package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
