Special Education Teacher (K-12)
Full-Time | $70/hour | San Diego Area | 2026-2027 School Year
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This educator will provide specialized instruction, implement individualized learning plans, and collaborate with staff and families to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success.

Responsibilities
• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education requirements.
• Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
Required
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain certification).
• Ability to meet all state, local, and district employment requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• CPR certification, if required.
Compensation
• $70/hour
• Full-time employment
