Edina Public Schools is accepting applications for a Health Services Associate. This position is responsible for observing students, reporting concerns, and performing delegated technical skills and administrative tasks. The Health Services Associate will be responsible for administering first aid, emergency, and episodic care according to the Health Services Standards of Care, district policies, and district procedures.
Health Services Associate (HSA)
Location: Normandale Elementary | Status: Non-Exempt | Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:40 am - 3:15 pm , 170 days,9 months
Position Summary
The Health Service Associate (HSA) assists the Licensed School Nurse with the observation of students, triage, reporting concerns, and performing delegated tasks in accordance with district and department policies and procedures.
Education And Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• School health experience preferred
• Valid first aid and CPR certification upon hire
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: The wage for this position varies based on qualifications and experience. Candidates without a Registered Nurse License through the Minnesota Department of Nursing will earn between $22.17 and $31.99 per hour. Candidates with a Registered Nurse License through the Minnesota Board of Nursing will earn between $29.95 and $35.05 per hour. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the applicable wage range, while candidates with relevant experience may be eligible for a starting rate of up to $27.06 per hour (non-RN) or $33.99 per hour (RN). Wage decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the individual's experience and the school district's budget.
