Join our vibrant after-school program as an After-School Care Classroom Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging youth activities including arts and crafts, outdoor games, educational projects, and group discussions.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies aligned with developmental best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development and social skills.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports as needed.
• Implement first aid protocols promptly in case of minor injuries or emergencies; operate AED equipment when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, or concerns.
Experience
• Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• High School Diploma
• 90 Clock hours in Early and School Age Education
