Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Food Service Worker to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service experiences to school
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive and courteous service to students
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including plating and portioning, adhering to food safety standards.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently during regular service hours as well as special events such as banquets and catering functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and service equipment in compliance with health regulations.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, serving stations, and buffet lines.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages or equipment needs.
• Uphold all food safety regulations and participate in ongoing training related to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
Qualifications
• Prior experience as food service worker or kitchen staff.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
• Experience in serving, food preparation, catering, or related roles within the food industry.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Hospitality or dietary aide experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a professional attitude towards guest satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
