• The Broach School of Jacksonville, Inc.
We're a small private school looking for a long term substitute teacher to fill in for a 4-5th grade elementary class at Broach West.
Hours are Monday - Thursday 8am-3pm, and Friday 8am- 12pm. Candidate will kick the school year off for the class by attending meet the teacher with school starting on August 19th. Anticipated role opening from mid August- mid September. A great candidate will have some flexibility and will also be the first to be considered for other substitute openings at our 3 campuses.
We are looking for someone dependable, great with kids and would prefer someone with experience working with students in elementary school, bonus points for those with Special Need experience. Perfect role for a retired teacher who wants to work on their terms!
Our classes are maxed out at 15 students and lesson plans and student work will be provided by the teacher . In addition, substitutes will have the support from administration and fellow teachers.
Substitutes are required to have a minimum of a high school diploma to be considered. In addition, experience in a classroom is a plus. Candidates with more experience (Bachelor's Degree and/or teaching credentials), will be offered a higher hourly pay.
Candidates must be able to produce a clear background check with NO arrests.
We have 3 campus locations in the Jacksonville area and if you choose, you may remain on our sub list after the term is over. Substitutes can choose which subject area and campus location you would prefer to substitute for. In the event we need a substitute, we will call you and offer you the details. You may choose to accept or deny the request.
