Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Denver, CO, for a dedicated School Counselor at Adams County School District 14. The School Counselor will support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being by providing counseling, career guidance, and mental health resources. Daily responsibilities include working directly with students, collaborating with teachers and parents, and developing customized plans to address the needs of individual students. The role is integral to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers students to achieve their potential.
Qualifications
• Skills in Student Counseling and Counseling to support students’ academic, personal, and social development
• Expertise in Career Counseling to guide students in exploring and planning for future career and educational opportunities
• Foundational knowledge in Psychology and Mental Health to address students’ emotional well-being and provide appropriate resources or referrals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, and staff
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field is required
• Experience in a school counseling or youth mentorship role is preferred
• State licensure or certification in school counseling is highly desirable
