Overview:
Kinneret Day School is a warm, diverse, pluralistic Jewish Day School in the Riverdale area of the Bronx. We are currently seeking a full time ELA teacher for our Middle School. Experience in developing writing and grammar skills, reading, differentiated instruction, positive parent and community communication, and preparation for state assessments is a must. Responsibilities:
- Create engaging differentiated lesson plans and facilitate rigorous learning for middle school students
- Implement education intervention strategies for students who require additional support or accelerated learning
- Communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with education administration to support school initiatives
• Minimum 3 years experience as head instructor
• Love working with students
• Passion for Literature, writing and all things ELA
• Believe in being part of a community of educators
• BA (MA preferred)
