Assesses, plans, and implements physical therapy services for children from birth to 21 and provides consultation to parents and team members.
Certificate License
Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Job Specific Information
Develops and implements Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with physical therapy services for children birth to five using a parent coaching model. This position includes flexible scheduling of 20 additional workdays throughout the year. Requires daily travel from site to family home. Preferred experience and knowledge of infant/toddler development and a range of physical therapy needs such as low tone, prematurity, orthopedic impairment desired. MCEA 10 month: The wage range for this position is a salary between $66,690 and $135,745 based on education and experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And ABILITIES
Working knowledge of the field of physical therapy, child development, educational disabilities, and legal regulations regarding early intervention and special education. Ability to apply skills to school-based therapy by relating intervention programs to curricular outcomes. Ability to provide early intervention services in the home. Effective oral and written communication, human relations, and time management skills.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, And EXPERIENCE
Degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy. Additional knowledge of neuro-developmental treatment and educational based therapy desirable.
