Duties

• Deliver age-appropriate religious lessons that are prepared for you t

• Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment for children and youth during Sunday school sessions

• Incorporate interactive activities, storytelling, music, and crafts to enhance learning experiences

• Support the spiritual development of students through mentoring, prayer guidance, and pastoral care

• Teach twice a Sunday during our two worship services (9:00 am and 10:30 am)

• Collaborate with church leadership and volunteers to coordinate special events, holiday programs, and community outreach initiatives

• Maintain attendance records, communicate with parents or guardians about student progress, and address any behavioral or safety concerns

• Assist in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers involved in Sunday school programs

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in religious or educational settings; youth ministry or religious organization childcare experience highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of religious studies, pastoral theology, Christian counseling, and youth engagement strategies

• Excellent communication skills to effectively teach, motivate, and connect with young learners and their families

• Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor children and coordinate volunteer teams effectively

• Experience in event planning for religious activities or youth programs; fundraising skills are a plus

• Compassionate approach to bereavement support, hospice care understanding, and social work principles applicable to youth mentoring

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm while maintaining a positive attitude in a nonprofit faith-based environment
