The Clinical Liaison Coordinator for the School of Education (SOE) provides a full range of clinical and student services, including meeting with students, faculty, and clinical site administrators on a regular basis to discuss their academic progress and clinical experience preferences and limitations. The position coordinates orientations, identifies and ensures the maintenance of the clinical site database, updates the student teaching seminar schedules and ensures that students comply with necessary program requirements.

This is a temporary grant funded position through June 30 year 2026 contingent upon grantor funding and grant extensions.

This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.

What you will be doing

Meets regularly with SOE students, faculty, and clinical site administrators to coordinate placements

Requests, evaluates, and provides appropriate documentation requested by clinical sites

Performs site visits and coordinates logistics for student teaching events

Identifies and partners with new clinical sites for student teaching and clinical experience opportunities

Creates and obtains placement agreements, invoices, and agreements for services from each clinical site

Fosters partnerships with current clinical sites and establishes expectations of the SOE programs

Coordinates schedules for Student Teaching and Seminar courses and assists with student grouping for course registration

Coordinates and organizes evaluation surveys for students, faculty, and clinical mentor teachers

Works collaboratively with faculty to update the Work-Based Learning Handbook and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements

Reviews and resolves placement concerns during the clinical term
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of related work experience, or a Master’s degree in Education or related field and one (1) year of related work experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different clinical sites
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Ability work independently and use independent judgment in the performance of complex record keeping functions

Ability to organize and manage tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and related database software applications

Knowledge of FLDOE accreditation requirements for student teaching and clinical experience
• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with staff, faculty, and students
