Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher focused on supporting those with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time, contract opportunity lets you dedicate your expertise to a Setting 3 classroom with a manageable caseload of approximately 6-10 students throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

You’ll work exclusively within a single building, allowing you to foster deeper relationships and create a consistent, supportive learning environment. As an experienced EBD Setting 3 cluster teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering individualized instruction, implementing IEP goals, and collaborating with families and fellow educators to ensure each student’s success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)

• Previous experience teaching in EBD, DCD, or ASD Setting 3 classrooms strongly preferred

• Demonstrated understanding of best practices for students with significant support needs

• Skillful in IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavioral intervention planning

• Effective communicator and collaborator with students, staff, and families

• Commitment to promoting inclusion, respect, and empowerment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction, accommodations, and modifications for students with DCD and ASD

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored for each child’s strengths and needs

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize student learning and well-being

• Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and adjust supports as necessary

• Engage proactively with families to foster a supportive school-to-home partnership
