Starting Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/year based on experience PLUS $5,000 Sign-on Bonus!

In your role as a Special Education Instructor, you will:
• Lead the instructional process for K-12 students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Design engaging and personalized learning experiences tailored to meet the diverse educational, physical, and emotional needs of each student.
• Deliver targeted instruction, utilizing innovative curriculum resources and educational software.
• Track and document student progress while maintaining accurate student records.
• Collaborate with other educators in a co-teaching environment to effectively achieve IEP goals.
• Adapt curricular content and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies, fostering a supportive classroom climate.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment for optimal learning.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and respond constructively to feedback.
• Perform additional duties to support the overall success of the educational program.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education, or a closely related field.
• Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining a valid state teaching credential.
• Licensed or in the process of obtaining a valid state special education credential.
• Prior experience working with curriculum development and instructional differentiation.
• Strong understanding of special education services, particularly for students with varying disabilities.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of instructional technology and related software tools.
