Job Description
• On-site in Georgetown, Texas, just 30 minutes from Austin, with relocation assistance available
• Annual salary of $100,000, paid weekly, plus health, dental, and vision coverage from day one
• 40 hours per week, full-time, at one of the world's most forward-thinking schools
You hold the conviction that a gifted six-year-old is capable of learning algebra, and that conventional schools often discourage her from attempting it. If that belief troubles you, this position is not the right fit. If it's what drew you to education in the first place, continue reading.
At gt.school, children are not passive recipients of instruction. They progress through adaptive learning software designed to accelerate their learning by five to ten times the pace of traditional classrooms. This structure enables you to focus on what truly transforms a child: guiding them in life skills, inspiring them to pursue ambitious goals, and maintaining expectations rigorous enough to elevate their performance. You are not delivering the academic curriculum. You are the catalyst that drives a seven-year-old to surpass her previous achievements.
Your daily structure centers on small cohorts rather than a classroom of thirty. You may facilitate a one-hour workshop on concentration or public speaking in the morning, then engage one-on-one with a student who has encountered difficulty in the afternoon. You will apply concrete analytics to identify the motivational lever that reignites a hesitant learner. On certain days a child will resist, and your responsibility is to engage them effectively without compromising standards. Upholding that standard demonstrates your belief in their capacity to meet it.
Excel with your cohort and advancement follows. Lead Guides mentor the broader team on motivation and expectations. Campus Leads oversee entire schools. This role marks the beginning of that trajectory.
Bring your commitment and your expectations. Apply today.
What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitate one-hour life skill workshops for small cohorts of gifted five- to eight-year-olds, teaching focus, self-regulation, public speaking, and feedback skills
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group sessions designed to motivate each student toward ambitious goals within their adaptive learning applications
• Examine the life skills curriculum and lesson frameworks, then execute them with narrative energy rather than rigid adherence to a script
• Administer and oversee Test2Pass mastery assessments, promoting only students who have truly mastered the skill in question
• Study student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to select the appropriate motivational tool, such as school currency or leaderboards, for each individual child
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Delivering lectures at the front of a classroom. Academic instruction occurs through the software; you guide students through the process
• Developing or following a rigid, paced curriculum. The adaptive apps adjust to each child, eliminating the need to teach to an average level
• Overseeing a classroom of thirty students. Your work involves small cohorts where each child is individually recognized
• Supervising children passively while they use computers. Passive screen monitoring is antithetical to this position
• Advancing students who lack mastery of the material in order to maintain favorable weekly metrics
