Novatio School is reshaping how we support learners. Our AI-driven academic model delivers core instruction in just two concentrated hours each morning. In the afternoon, students join live virtual workshops designed for exploration, creativity, and personal growth.
You'll be the one who maintains momentum and ensures everything runs seamlessly. You'll guide students through transitions, foster engagement in small-group settings, and step in to encourage learners when they hit a wall. Content delivery isn't your job—but making every session feel effortless and impactful absolutely is.

What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and supporting group activities
• Encouraging student participation and building confidence through chat engagement, recognition, and one-on-one check-ins
• Keeping learners focused, motivated, and connected throughout their session time
• Supporting lead educators with operational logistics that ensure workshops flow without interruption
• Serving as a positive presence and culture champion across bilingual programming and club activities
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
• Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
• Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
• Observing passively—this is an active, energetic role
Virtual Learning Assistant Key Responsibilities
Facilitate dynamic virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, well-organized, and motivated throughout every workshop session.
Basic Requirements
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
• Educational history within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16)—must have attended school in one of these countries (current residence may be anywhere)
• Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, student-centered approach with attention to detail
• Able to begin by the end of July
Nice-to-have Requirements
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
• Experience in after-school settings, summer camps, or club facilitation

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
