Early Childhood Specialist, GT School - $100,000/year USD

Employer Crossover
Location Houston, Texas
Type Full-time

Job Description

• On-site in Georgetown, Texas—30 minutes from Austin—with relocation assistance available
• $100,000 annually, paid weekly, with health, dental, and vision coverage from day one
• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, at one of the world's most forward-thinking schools

You hold the belief that a gifted six-year-old is capable of learning algebra, and that conventional schools often discourage her from even attempting it. If that idea unsettles you, this role is not the right fit. If it reflects why you entered education in the first place, continue reading.

At gt.school, children do not passively receive instruction. Instead, they engage with adaptive learning software that enables them to learn five to ten times faster than traditional classroom models permit. This structure allows you to focus on the work that truly transforms a child: coaching life skills, motivating pursuit of ambitious goals, and maintaining standards rigorous enough to inspire achievement. You are not delivering academic content. You are the catalyst that makes a seven-year-old determined to surpass her own performance.

Your workday revolves around small cohorts rather than classes of thirty. You may facilitate a one-hour workshop on focus or public speaking in the morning, followed by a one-on-one session in the afternoon with a student facing a challenge. You will apply real-time analytics to identify the incentive that re-engages a hesitant learner. On some days, a child resists, and your responsibility is to win their commitment without compromising expectations. Upholding those expectations is how you demonstrate belief in their potential.

Excel with a cohort and advancement follows. Lead Guides mentor the broader team on motivation and standards. Campus Leads oversee entire schools. This role marks the beginning of that trajectory.

Bring your dedication and your high standards. Apply today.

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitate one-hour life skill workshops for small cohorts of gifted five- to eight-year-olds, covering focus, self-regulation, public speaking, and feedback exchange
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group motivational sessions designed to drive every student toward ambitious goals within their adaptive learning applications
• Study the life skills curriculum and lesson frameworks, then deliver them with dynamic storytelling and enthusiasm rather than rote adherence
• Administer and manage Test2Pass mastery assessments, promoting only those students who have authentically mastered the material
• Analyze student profiles, interests, and Coachbot data to select the most effective incentive—such as school currency or leaderboards—for each individual child

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Delivering traditional lectures at the front of a classroom. Academic instruction occurs through the software; you guide students through the process
• Developing or adhering to a rigid, paced curriculum. The adaptive applications respond to each child individually, eliminating the need to teach to the average
• Overseeing a classroom of thirty students. Your work centers on small cohorts where each child is individually recognized
• Supervising children passively engaged with computers. Passive screen monitoring is antithetical to this position
• Advancing students who have not achieved mastery simply to maintain favorable weekly metrics
