Role Description The Certified Art Instructor (Part-Time) will lead on-site art classes at our brand-new Children's Art Classes studio in Miami, FL (Kendall), guiding students of varying ages and skill levels through structured lessons in drawing, painting, and other art forms. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering engaging art lessons, setting up and maintaining classroom materials and equipment, and providing individualized feedback to support each learner’s artistic development.
This role is perfect for an educator who loves working with children, thrives in a small-group studio environment (classes are capped at 12 students), and wants to focus strictly on teaching without the burden of lesson planning or supply sourcing. We provide all curriculum materials and high-quality studio supplies—you bring the passion for teaching!
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Arts in Art Education required.
• Valid Florida Professional or Temporary Educator Certificate, endorsement in Art (Grades K-12) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional teaching experience, ideally working with diverse age groups.
• Experience working with children or youth in educational or recreational settings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and classroom management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage diverse learners and collaborate effectively with families and colleagues.
• Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, including evenings or weekends as program needs require.
