Director of School Finance Services 📍 Albuquerque, NM
We are hiring a Director of School Finance Services – to serve as a strategic financial advisor to K-12 school leaders and boards across New Mexico.
In this highly visible leadership role, you'll leverage your expertise in New Mexico school finance to help schools achieve financial stability and long-term success while leading a team of finance professionals dedicated to exceptional client service.
Duties
• Advise school leaders and governing boards on budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial strategy
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships to drive retention and satisfaction
• Lead financial operations, reporting, audits, and strategic planning for partner schools
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of business managers and finance professionals
• Support client growth, onboarding, and business development initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
• Preferred MBA
• 10+ years of K-12 school finance experience
• Deep knowledge of New Mexico public school funding and compliance requirements
• Leadership experience managing client-facing teams
• Proven success partnering with executive leaders and boards
• School Business Official (SBO) License (or ability to obtain)
