Position:

• Provide direct one-to-one Educational Supports/ABA therapy for individuals with autism or disabilities in a school as a behavior technician

• Provide ABA skills support in a variety of areas including but not limited to: adaptive, academic, speech, language, communication, vocational, behavior, play, and cognitive skills

• Data collection on individual goals and graphing

• Implement behavior intervention plans

• Assist in a wide variety of assessments for treatment planning purposes

• Participate in implementing PFA and SBT assessments and treatment approaches

Location: Seattle Public Schools

Full-Time Position, School Day Hours

Compensation: up to $37 per hour

Our Treatment Approach: Join a dynamic team as we utilize evidence-based practices, including Greg Hanley's Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) methods, to address behavioral challenges, build new skill sets, and promote student success.

What is PFA/SBT?

- **Practical Functional Assessment (PFA)**: A systematic process for identifying the function(s) or purpose(s) behind a student's behavior. PFA emphasizes understanding the underlying causes of behavior to develop effective intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.

- **Skill-Based Treatment (SBT)**: A targeted approach focused on teaching students specific skills to replace problem behaviors. SBT emphasizes positive reinforcement and systematic teaching methods to promote skill acquisition and generalization.

Certified Behavior Technician Position Responsibilities:

• CBTs implement goals (behavior based, academic, social, etc.) based on PFA/SBT methods

• CBTs collaborate with school staff, parents, and the multidisciplinary team

• CBTs collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst

CBT Position Requirements:

• *Active Certified Behavior Technician license*

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of students and their families

• High School Degree or Equivalent

• Current driver's license

• Ability to pass a background check

• Experience working with children

• CPR & First Aid Training

• Negative tuberculosis test done within the past 60 days

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 30 lbs or more

Preferred Position Qualifications:

• RBT (Registered Behavior Technician)

• Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral needs

• Previous experience working in schools
