Qualifications & Required Experience:
• Valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
• Previous experience as a General Education Teacher with a focus on health education preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver health education curriculum to junior high students, empowering them with knowledge of physical, mental, and social well-being
• Develop engaging lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and encourage active student participation
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Create an inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect and healthy habits
• Communicate effectively with administration, parents, and colleagues regarding student achievement and well-being
• Ensure compliance with school policies and state requirements
