We are currently seeking a Part Time Woodworking Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in Baltimore, MD.
Middle School Woodworking Teacher Responsibilities:
• Teach middle school design and woodworking courses for students in Grade 5.
• Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making.
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Maintain the Studio space and equipment, including the oversight of safety protocols for the space.
• Offer studio time after school for students to work safely on projects.
• Serve as an advisor to a small group of students ensuring student success.
Middle School Woodworking Teacher Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level preferred.
• Experience with STEM programs and curriculum design.
• Passion for woodworking.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
