Schools are seeking dedicated professionals ready to provide essential assistance across a range of educational settings. Assignments are flexible, spanning Pre-K through high school, with vital roles including instructional support, personal care, and helping students with unique needs. Paraprofessionals in this setting must be adaptable and ready to assist wherever the need is greatest—whether that’s academic support, feeding, toileting, or supporting physical/health needs.
Qualifications:
• Meet one of the following: Associate’s degree or higher, 48+ college units and a high school diploma, passing the CBEST and a high school diploma, or passing the Instructional Aide Exam and a high school diploma
• Willingness to complete CPR and First Aid certification every two years (district supported)
• For specialized positions, experience or certification in areas such as sign language, Braille, vocational nursing, or behavioral supports preferred
• Physical ability to assist with feeding, toileting, and mobility needs
• Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to perform all assigned duties without exception
• Flexibility and openness to being placed wherever support is needed
Responsibilities:
• Support classroom instruction and provide individual or group assistance to students
• Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by supervising staff
• Assist with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and medical procedures (with appropriate training)
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Serve as a bus aide if assigned, accompanying students to and from school and their homes
