Role and Responsibilities:
As a Childcare Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will guide young minds through discovery and exploration while fostering a lifelong love of learning. You will implement age-appropriate lesson plans, maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, and build genuine relationships with children and families. This role requires passion, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing each child’s individual development.
• Supervise and manage daily class functions for a group of children.
• Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Participate in professional development and school events as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of early childhood education and the developmental needs of young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow established curriculum and classroom procedures.
• Must meet local child care regulatory agency requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., as needed for child handling and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program.
• Early childhood education degree or related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s, depending on age group).
• Familiarity with classroom management and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
• Passion for fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in children.
• Experience working with diverse groups of children and families.

Compensation: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
