Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with learning standards

• Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

• Utilize relevant technology and learning materials to support instruction

• Observe and assess student progress and development regularly

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and growth

• Communicate effectively with parents and participate in family engagement events

• Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in school-wide meetings and initiatives

• Uphold NYCMC’s educational and Islamic values throughout daily practice

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or Technology

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification

• At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience

• Deep understanding of child development, curriculum design, and instructional strategies

• Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills

• Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and faith-aligned education

• Passion for working in a values-driven, community-centered organization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
