Start Date: Rolling openings based on partner schedules
Compensation: $50+ per instructional hour (flexible based on experience, program, and commute)
About the Role
Concorde Education is on the lookout for a dynamic Business, Finance & Entrepreneurship Educator to inspire and lead engaging after-school programs. In this role, you will introduce students to essential financial literacy and business concepts through interactive, hands-on learning experiences. Your teaching will pave the way for students to grasp real-world applications of these vital skills.
Each program may focus on personal finance, entrepreneurship, or small business essentials, tailored to the specific needs of the students and the learning environment.
What You'll Teach
• Practical money management skills, including:
• Budgeting, saving, and spending decisions
• Banking, credit, and responsible financial practices
• Introductory investing concepts
• Entrepreneurial skills and business idea generation
• Fundamentals of pricing, profit, and business models
• Marketing, branding, and enhancing customer experiences
• Effective communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
• Conduct interactive, discussion-driven, and project-oriented sessions
• Deliver practical, real-world lessons in finance and business
• Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse age groups and experience levels
• Encourage a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Guide students in completing a simple business or finance project
• Maintain communication with site staff and monitor attendance/session completion
Qualifications
• Minimum of 60 college credits
• Background in business, finance, entrepreneurship, or a related field
• Experience working with students or groups (teaching, tutoring, training, etc.)
• Strong communication and facilitation abilities
• Capacity to present concepts clearly and practically
• Professional demeanor and reliability in educational settings
