Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Science & Social Studies Teacher to inspire and educate students in both scientific inquiry and social understanding. Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive curricula that align with educational standards for science and social studies, incorporating elements such as chemistry, biology, history, geography, and civics.
• Deliver engaging lessons that utilize diverse teaching methods, including hands-on experiments, multimedia resources, and interactive discussions to enhance student understanding.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and project-based assessments.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation and mutual respect.
• Provide individualized support through tutoring, mentoring, and academic advising to help students achieve their full potential.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and enhance digital literacy skills among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, sports coaching activities, and extracurricular programs that promote holistic student development.

Skills
• Expertise in science subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics (including trigonometry, geometry, calculus), and social studies topics like history and geography.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development standards including AP style (Advanced Placement) coursework and Chicago Manual of Style guidelines for academic writing.
• Excellent proofreading, copy editing, and writing skills to support student assignments and school publications.
• Proven classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques tailored for diverse student needs.
• Experience working with children of various ages in classroom settings or extracurricular environments such as sports coaching or library services.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms to facilitate blended learning environments and digital literacy initiatives.
• Ability to mentor students effectively while fostering a supportive atmosphere for working with students with special education needs or in Montessori or childhood development programs.
• Strong communication skills for public speaking engagements, parent-teacher conferences, and collaborative team efforts within education administration.
