A LifeWise teacher plays a pivotal role in sharing the gospel with both churched and unchurched public school students. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator with strong Bible knowledge and a heart for teaching. The ideal candidate is active in their church community, possesses excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a genuine care for children. Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching in a classroom setting, either in a school or church.
• A mature Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church that aligns with the LifeWise Academy's beliefs.
Job Description
• Training and Development
• Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of your start date.
• Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit each year.
• Engage in at least one Teachers' Lounge or LifeWise Meet-Up annually.
• Stay current on training and updates through LifeWise communications.
• Teaching Responsibilities
• Utilize the LifeWise curriculum to develop lesson plans and customize the curriculum.
• Implement the established curriculum effectively in your classroom.
• Foster relationships with students and pray for them regularly.
• Create a supportive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Adhere to LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Record Keeping
• Maintain accurate attendance records and provide them as needed.
• Keep class rosters updated, noting any health concerns, special needs, or permissions.
• Prepare materials for substitute teachers when necessary.
• Classroom Management
• Ensure a clean, welcoming, and orderly classroom atmosphere.
• Be prepared for emergency procedures.
• Manage classroom supplies funded by the program director.
• Community Engagement
• Act as an ambassador for LifeWise Academy within the community.
• Attend school open houses and other outreach events.
• Maintain communication with school staff regarding class schedules and student well-being.
• Build relationships with volunteers, keeping them informed of changes.
• Provide regular updates, stories, and photos for program communication.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all interactions.
